This week's Friday Shootout theme was chosen by Carrie in Westport, Washington--Silhouettes! (click on the link to see a wonderful description for the shootout from her!)
For this week, I headed to a local park at twilight...
The edge of the park is on the top of a little hill, and what should I see? The Dublin High School Gaels frosh football taking on the Miramonte Matadors!
(taken from quite a distance)
TOUCHDOWN!!
Dublin won, 35-0. :)

I really like the zoomed photo of the power lines. It's a great shot and makes a really nice silhouette with clean lines. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI like the last picture of the silhouette.
ReplyDeleteThere is something just so sad and lonely about the empty swing in the park that makes it the most evocative photo for me.
ReplyDeleteI always love trees, but the second shot of the awnings ? is very intriguing. great post!!
ReplyDeleteI like the awning/sail corners, and the first tree shot!
ReplyDeleteThe solo swing is really cool.
ReplyDeleteNice post, Kathy. I like the abstract forms of the second one the best.
ReplyDeleteOh that empty swing...it is so lonely. What a touching photo. I'd print that and frame it and hang it...I love it. It made me stop and think.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shoot out!
The power lines are great!
ReplyDeleteWay to shut out the opponents, Dublin!
don't know if I like the first or second shot the best. must be a tie. good post. hugs from Brasil
ReplyDeleteI wrote a poem about my daughter who loved to swing, and that pic takes me back to when it was occupied, not matter what time of day, she had to stop and swing...which I also love the football shots!
