This was a fun topic for me; back in October, when we had to do a photo study of a building, I shot the Kolb House, which is the homestead of one of Dublin's founding families and was in the process of being moved to our Heritage Park. In October, the house had just been moved (in THIRDS, no less!) to its new home and the contractors were slowly shoring it up to start putting it back together.
What a difference 4 months make!

And lastly, a new life under construction... my best friend got married this week!! Cheers to them as they construct their new life as husband and wife!
That is indeed a beautiful house; I'm glad they're saving it. And I love the way the orange cone is bolted down!

Nice job. I bet that was a sight. It is a fine looking house. When I was a young girl, we lived in a house that have been turned around and moved to the street behind it. That all happened before we lived there, of course. Congrats to your friends. Happy New Year to you and yours.

ReplyDeleteI always thought I would help construct, or design a house for myself, but my road lead elsewhere...I bet it would be cool to see it go from field to this!

This is such a lovely house! It looks as if the plans are coming along and developing as they should. Will we be getting the inside scoop? Can't wait to see the layout!
